The Bosco Chiesanuova Museum of Ethnography – 'Lessinia, Man and the Environment' – showcases original objects, photos and scale models to document the main aspects of the daily life and environment of Lessinia. The museum is considered an open book on the culture, traditions and activities of the people of the area.
The various sections of the museum relate to prehistory, mountain pastures, haymaking, milk processing, the production of charcoal, ice and lime, carpentry, spinning, weaving, and popular religion.
Two standalone themed sections are also an integral part of the museum: the Giassàra del Grietz and the Baito della Coletta, an old ice house and a dairy a few kilometres from the centre of Bosco Chiesanuova.
From 1 November, the museum is open on weekends and holidays from 9:30 to 12:30 and from 14:30 to 17:30.
From 7 December to 6 January, the museum is open every day except Monday afternoon, 25/12 and 1/1.
